Rebuilt and the National Precast Concrete Association Australia (NP) launch strategic collaboration to accelerate verified precast carbon data for the built environment.

Across construction, carbon-verified data is increasingly a mandatory commercial requirement. More projects are requesting primary product-level data as part of the design process, tender evaluation, and contractual commitments. For the precast concrete sector, this shift is important because disclosure expectations are landing right next to speed, innovation, and fitness-for-purpose as another critical element of design. Early insights matter.

This collaboration enables NP members to provide carbon insights early in the design process, while ensuring their outputs are compatible with Green Star, NABERS, and ISC (Infrastructure Sustainability Council) project ratings.

This strategic collaboration recognises two realities now facing the sector:

  • Tier 1 Customers want fast, product-specific data: Carbon requests are increasingly time-bound and tied to exact product variants, project requirements, and ASRS assurance expectations.
  • Precast products are complex and varied: Mix designs change and inputs vary across sites. The sector needs a dynamic data pathway that keeps up with real-world manufacturing, not a static document that becomes outdated.

“The growing importance of low-carbon factors in tendering and contractual obligations means tools like Rebuilt are increasingly relevant to our members. The combination of speed, affordability, and the ability to move beyond industry-average data makes this an essential tool for the precast concrete sector,” says Cadell Taye, CEO, National Precast Concrete Association Australia.

What the strategic collaboration will deliver:

Through this collaboration, Rebuilt and NP will work together to help members:

  • Win tenders with defensible data: Access product carbon data that is verified and audit-ready, helping members meet the expectations of builders, developers, and Green Star and ISC project teams.
  • Influence projects at the design level: Empower members to collaborate with specifiers and engineers during the design phase. By providing high-fidelity data early, precasters can prove the value of innovative, low-carbon mix designs before the project is finalised.
  • Manage data across variants and ranges: Enable clear management of carbon information across product types, sizes, and mix changes, ensuring disclosures remain accurate and compliant with procurement standards.
  • Future-proof for ASRS and mandatory reporting: As assurance expectations increase, primary data is becoming the benchmark. This collaboration supports members to move toward numbers that stand up to third-party scrutiny.
  • Scale without excessive costs: Speed and competitive pricing are central to the Rebuilt model. The focus is making customer-ready PCFs achievable across an entire product range, not just a single "hero" product.

“This collaboration with NP ensures that every manufacturer, regardless of size, has an affordable and scalable pathway to innovate and to verify their data early and often. By moving beyond static estimates to dynamic, design-level insights, we are empowering precasters to collaborate directly with specifiers to drive lower-carbon innovation and win high-value projects,” says Esther Bailey, COO, Rebuilt.

What NP members can expect first

All motivated NP members will be supported to assess their product carbon with joint member education and practical guidance to help teams get started quickly. Early movers can receive complimentary platform access and discounted verification (limited offer).

Why Now

The precast concrete sector already delivers quality, speed, and safety. As carbon becomes a critical lens in procurement, members who provide trusted, verified primary data will be better positioned to win work, reduce friction in approvals, and support their customers’ ASRS and ESG obligations.

Next Steps for Members

We want every NP member to be able to take advantage of this pathway. All interested members can be supported, and verified PCFs can be provided at a discounted rate over the next 12 months, so you will not miss out.

NP Master Precaster members will receive updates shortly regarding member sessions and pathways to join a Pilot Program. During the pilot program, you will receive complimentary platform access, higher discounted rates, technical support, promotion of verified status on Rebuilt Marketplace, and a case study which will be highlighted at the NP conference in March

Esther Bailey, COO of Rebuilt, will also be a key presenter at the NP conference in March so its an exciting opportunity to be part of this pilot
